The Ministry of Infrastructure and Development is responsible for the area of transport, completing tasks in the scope of:

• transport infrastructure (including construction, modernisation and maintenance of public roads, rails, airports and inland waterways),
• road, rail and air transport and inland navigation,
• transport of persons and goods by road, rail and air transport,
• public transportation.

Within this section, Ministry of Infrastructure and Development deals with issues regarding domestic road investment, process of obtaining vehicle driving permits, terms of registration and technical examination of vehicles, road transport conditions, development of Polish aviation, aviation-related investment in TEN-T networks, civil aviation supervision, development of railway sector, rail transport regulations, Transport Development Strategy, Intelligent Transport Systems, intermodal transport and logistics, as well as construction, modernisation, maintenance and preservation of inland waterways.
