Vegvsen - Norwegian Public Roads Administration
Norwegian Public Road Administration (NPRA) with The Road Users and Vehicles Department (including sections Vehicle Standards, Supervision and Inspection, Licensing and Registration Services, among others) is the central administrative and directing organisation of the Norwegian Public Road Administration. The NPRA is a 100% state-owned organisation under the Ministry of Transport and Communications. It deals with tasks concerning vehicles, drivers and roads. This includes road building and maintenance. The organisation is divided into 5 regions and about 70 Driver and Vehicle Licensing Offices. The administration of vehicles is divided between the Vehicle standards section, Licensing and Registration Services and the Supervision and Inspection section.
