From 5 to 7 April 2017, the EReg General Meeting and Annual Conference took place in Reykjavik, Iceland. Approximately 60 people attended this year. The program started with an office tour of the Icelandic Transport Authority, Samgöngustofa, and the welcome reception. Thursday 6 April was marked by the General Meeting and the first part of the Annual Conference.
Subjects
Norway and the Netherlands shared the way in which vehicle registration authorities use data analytics in detecting fraud and vehicle crime. The afternoon ended with an interactive best practices carousel in which several members EReg brought forward their showcase. The last day was dedicated to vehicle data and issues of access, ownership and responsibility thereof. From different perspectives (industry, consumer and legal) these subjects were reflected upon.
Portugal
At the end of the conference, Portugal has decided to rejoin EReg.
